Pros vs Influencers
Let's face it, we all love free advice from experts and professionals. Today there is a new "voice" and it's called the Influencer. Some Influencers are actually experts in their field and on the topic, product or service that they share about! Many are not. It's important to make that distinction before blindly following what you're being offered.
Influencers are not a new thing. They’ve been around since the beginning of any kind of media, and probably even before that! Think about the "snake oil" salesman in his traveling cart. However, Influencers of today have massive reach with social media.
There is much to be entertained by, and even to learn in social media when it comes to skincare. Most of what I see makes me cringe! Remember, for the most part, Influencers are sales people are those working to monetize their social media outlets. There's nothing wrong with sales people, however, as a skin pro, a lot of what I see Influencers telling you to do to your face is misguided!
When it comes to skin health, balance, anti-aging, acne and other things that you might like some help with, consider working with an expert who will help you gain benefits with directed care based on your skin's condition. The alternative is to throw a lot of time, energy and money at skin concerns and not end up with the results that you crave.
